Hannah

Hello! That's me, Hannah, Han, Hanny. I'm from the little village of Cuckfield in West Sussex, surrounded by the glorious countryside and not too far from the beautiful South Downs.

I can quite often be found somewhere in my garden or at least with flowers in my hands as I've been in the floristry industry for 10 years now and have worked on some pretty incredible projects along the way.

My Grandparents live next door and as avid gardeners - meaning the majority of my childhood memories revolve around being in a greenhouse, potting up bedding plants, days out to garden centres or being allowed to gather a selection of blooms from their cutting patches over the years - it was only a matter of time before I fully embraced that gene.

I'm obsessed with dogs and have a long found affinity with them, they have been my greatest companions and silent hands of support over the years. Elodie can quite often be found amongst the flowers and at my feet when I’m creating, she brings me the utmost joy!

Copper and Moss

Copper and Moss began as just a name quite a few too many years ago, always slightly shy about my work and quiet about my love for the garden, it took a little time to put my first design out there, but there hasn’t been a day since where I have looked back.

Inspired by the world around us and not afraid to mix a plethora of textures, tones and details together, my florals will often do the talking for me. Working with natural materials means nothing is ever the same, a glorious characteristic in my opinion, every design so unique, every detail so important.

I work with both fresh and dried florals, it is an ever evolving art for me; every season brings both a new bounty and a new palette to work with, every season brings a new lesson to learn. I create bespoke designs for weddings, events and your home with experience in all aspects of floristry.

The Cutting Garden

In 2021, with the help of my wonderful Grandad ‘Dodo’ (pronounced Do - Do because there is quite literally nothing he cannot do) I got to work on my very own cutting garden with the introduction of four raised beds and a whole lot of seeds.

We started a little late in the season that year, but that didn’t matter too much; the conditions meant for a somewhat bumper year of harvesting and the blooms were spectacular. There was a mixture of blooms perfect for both fresh designs and for adding to my dried larder - what more can a girl ask for?!

It is an ever evolving story in the cutting garden and one that I just cannot wait to share with you all!

Bringing the outside in.
